Niger Delta militants to resume fresh attacks

Niger Delta Revolutionary Crusaders, NDRC, one of the militant groups that asked the Pan-Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, led by  Chief Edwin Clark, to stop all engagements with the Federal Government, has announced that it will commence fresh attacks on oil facilities across the Niger Delta on September 31.

This came as a coalition of Niger Delta agitators has expressed disappointment in the leadership of PANDEF, saying it had failed the agitators in the negotiation with the Federal Government to achieve acceptable level of social and economic prosperity for the region.

It also blamed the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, for failing the people and the region.

The agitators who lashed out at the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani, accused him of being insensitive to the plight of the people.

Resting time day in London: Senator Dino Melaye

Dino Melaye shared this photo of him chilling with some bottles in London.”Resting day in London”, he captioned it.

My daughter advised me to marry Funke Akindele- JJC Skillz

Nigerian director, JJC Skillz has revealed that he got advised to hold unto Funke Akindele by his daughter…

Speaking to PLAYGROUND, he said;

“Well, before we got married in London, we all had a good relationship here in Nigeria.

The kids were always seeing this beautiful woman around daddy, and she always makes him happy.

They might be away and in different continents, but they are part of our daily activities. She is also very close to them, they met her digital first.

They didn’t know she is an actress then, because in the UK, they hardly watch Nigerian movies, but they love her so much. They all love each other.

It’s a perfect blend.I remember my daughter telling me, ‘Dad make sure you marry her. She’s a keeper”.

And I did, I followed my daughter’s advice. One of my songs, Save The Last Dance’ was written for my wife, she really saved the last dance for me.”

I saw deficiencies of our police when I was kidnapped'..

ke Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, says he noticed some of the shortcomings of the police force when he was kidnapped.

In an interview with THISDAY, Ekweremadu opined that a decentralised police system is suitable for a multi-ethnic society like Nigeria.

He said if the country continues to practice the federal police system it is operating, there will be a serious problem.

“I was once taken by armed robbers or kidnappers if you like. They took me for like two days. I saw the deficiencies of our police, because we passed several checkpoints.

The type of policing we have is not sustainable and it is not good for the type of our structure.

So, we need to find the type of police that can suit our purpose. If we do that, we will be able to secure the people and their properties,” Ekweremadu said.On September 10, 2000, Ekweremadu was kidnapped and released after two days in captivity.

PROVISION BEFORE NEED Monday July 31 2017

Memorise:
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2 Peter 1:3

Read:
2 Peter 2:1-4
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Message:
"God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early."
Psalm 46:5

From the above passage of Scripture, one great benefit available to those who have God as their Refuge is that the help
or assistance they need will never be late. There are at least three different times an individual can receive assistance. It could be before, during or after one experiences a need. If a need or an emergency arises today and you already have the wherewithal to meet that need, maybe from your earnings from paid employment or a business venture, you have already received help before that need arose. This is a great place to be in! Some families already have all they will ever need to take care of their children and pay their way up to post-graduate degree programmes, even before this need arises. Such people will never panic for school fees. This is an example of provision before need, and it describes a state of living in abundance. You will experience such in Jesus‘ Name!

Moreover, do you know that God follows this same pattern in dealing with His children? For example, before God created Adam and Eve, all they would ever need had been provided for in the Garden of Eden which God Himself planted. God knows exactly what you need even before you express or voice out your request (Matthew 6:32). Do you know that God has already provided all you would ever need to live a victorious Christian life and fulfil your God-given
destiny? The Holy Spirit speaks about this to us in 2 Peter 1:3, where He says:

"According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:"

It is therefore possible for you to be a beneficiary of provision before need. However, one major challenge for most
people with regards to this benefit is that when there is provision to meet their future needs, they become careless,
frivolous and wasteful. When God provides ahead of time, it is possible to spend it on other things outside of God's purpose. You therefore need divine guidance even in plenty. Having abundance does not justify wastefulness in God's Kingdom.

However, to partake of this great benefit, you need to increase your knowledge of the Provider, walk in obedience to Him, follow spiritual financial principles and wait on His directives always.

Prayer Point:
What some people waste daily is more than enough to feed several needy, hungry people. To trigger blessings from the
Lord, such excess should be spent on meeting the needs of others.

Bible in one year:
1Kings 9-10
Ezekiel 18:1-18

Good Morning.
May the Lord have mercy on us.

Wife urges President Mugabe to name his successor

Zimbabwean First Lady, Grace, on Thursday advised President Robert Mugabe to name his preferred successor in order to end perceived deepening divisions over the future leadership of the ruling ZANU-PF party.

Africa’s oldest leader, Mugabe, 93, has ruled the former British colony since independence in 1980,and has insisted that ZANU-PF, and not him, will choose his eventual successor when the time comes.

However, at a meeting of ZANU-PF’s women’s wing in Harare, Grace Mugabe contradicted the veteran leader, who also attended the meeting, saying he should name a successor.

“The First Lady, who also doubles as the ruling ZANU-PF’s Secretary for Women’s Affairs, have challenged the president to name his successor, saying this has been the trend in other countries.

The First Lady said there is nothing wrong with Mugabe naming his successor, saying the move will enable all members to rally behind one candidate,’’ ZBC said.

Nigerian sex workers want govt to legalise prostitution...

The Nigerian Sex Workers Association has called on the Federal Government to decriminalise prostitution, saying such would curb the spread of HIV.

The association added that HIV infection had continued to increase because the government treated prostitution as a crime.

It stated that law enforcement agents, especially the police, consequently harassed sex workers and sometimes demand sex without using condoms.

The National Coordinator of the association, Amaka Enemo, said this in Abuja on Wednesday during an interview with journalists at the presentation of  a report titled, ‘Understanding the High Risk of Urban Sexual Networks in Nigeria.’Enemo was said to have played an active role in gathering information for the report, which was compiled by the National Agency for the Control of AIDS, the University of Manitoba, United States, and the World Bank.

She said, “Sex workers face violence, especially from their clients and law enforcement agents. Sex work is seen as a crime and the police raid streets and brothels to arrest sex workers.

They collect money and if the girl cannot pay money, she will have to give sex to the policemen. If the law enforcerdoes not want to use condom, the sex worker has to agree and this is why HIV is on the increase.

So, in this study, all the sex workers we interacted with said their biggest trouble was law enforcers.”The 36-year-old said several studies had shown thatcountries where prostitution is not illegal had lower cases of sexually transmitted diseases, while Nigeria, where it is illegal, had one of the highest rates of HIV in the world.

She said sex work should be made legal, and government should not saddle sex workers with the responsibility of paying tax.Enemo said, “When I visited Amsterdam (Holland), I was able to visit the red light district where sex workers work because prostitution is legal there.

I have also visited New Zealand where they have decriminalised sex work.“When you decriminalise it, there will be less exploitation of sex workers and the violence will reduce.”Emeno said since HIV is a communicable disease and had no cure, sex workers should be given propertreatment and not victimised.

She said an infected sex worker could directly or indirectly infect as many as 100 people, adding that the government must not hound, but partner them.

Three (3) Nasarawa Varsity Students Nabbed For Armed Robbery

The Police in Nasarawa State have arrested three students of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi in connection with an alleged arm robbery.

Briefing newsmen today in Lafia, the state Commissioner of Police, Abubakar Sadiq-Bello, saidthat the trio were arrested on Sunday night on the Keffi-Akwanga road, near the institution’s campus.

Sadiq-Bello said that on the fateful night, the Keffi Area Command received a distress call of a robberyincident on the Keffi-Akwanga road, about a kilometre from the school gate.

Our men swung into action immediately, mobilised to the scene and arrested three suspects while others escaped.

“The police are on the trail of the fleeing members of the gang and the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded,” he said.

The commissioner also disclosed that three residents of the state had willingly handed over their arms in compliance with the deadline for amnesty given to members of the public to submit unregistered arms.

He explained that the one-month deadline for people to submit unregistered arms was given after due consultation with critical stakeholders in the state.

However, with this response, we would go back to the drawing board and evaluate the situation in order to decide on the next line of action,” he said.

Sadiq-Bello said that the command already had intelligence reports about locations where firearms were being manufactured in the state and would soon bring the culprits to justice.

He added that in the course of daily surveillance and with the assistance of members of the public, the police had recovered more arms and arrested many criminals.

No date yet for Buhari’s return – Presidency...

Despite the meeting President Muhammadu Buhari held with some APC state governors on Sunday, no date has been fixed for his return to the country,Punchlearnt on Monday.

But investigations by one of  Punch's  correspondents showed that no date had yet been fixed for the President’s return.

Sources, who spoke with Punch's correspondent, said although the President’s health had improved tremendously, his returndate was still in the hands of his doctors.

The President made it clear in his letter to the National Assembly that the duration of hisstay in London would be determined by his doctor.

Jubilation as court frees man who named dogBuhari...

A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Sango-Otta on Tuesday dismissed charges filed against a resident of the Ogun State community for naming his dog ‘Buhari.

’The magistrate, O.O. Adebo, said the prosecution failed to substantiate its case against Joachim Iroko, consequently striking out all charges preferred against him.

Mr. Iroko’s lawyer was ecstatic Tuesday, praising the court for the verdict.Mr. Iroko, 41, was arrested in August 2016 forcausing a breach of peace after he was reported by his neighbour who alleged insensitivity in Mr. Iroko’s action.

The neighbour, identified as Haliru Umar from Sokoto State, said Mr. Iroko harboured sinister motives when he gave his name the same name as President Muhammadu Buhari.

The arrest of Mr. Iroko sparked nationwide outrage in August 2016 and critics accused the police of stifling constitutionally guaranteed freedom to satisfy the president.

The police denied that Mr. Iroko’s ordeal had anything to do with the president but strictly about the breach of peace complaints received from his neighbour.

The presidency also reacted to the arrest when Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, said the president paid more attention to cartoon pages in the newspapers rather than following Mr. Iroko’s case that was generating nationwide furore at the time.

But a lack of diligent prosecution prompted Mr. Adebo to free Mr. Iroko at the resumed trial Tuesday.

The magistrate said the prosecution failed to provide witnesses since December 2016, and,at some point, stopped appearing for hearing.

I was shocked at the state I met President Buhari in London – Okorocha.

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has described as false, the speculation that President Muhammad Buhari is critically ill and on life support.

Mr. Okorocha, who is also APC Governors Forum Chairman was part of some APC governors and chieftains who visited President Buhari at the Abuja house in London on Sunday.“Before I left Nigeria, there was a lot of speculations that the president is on life support, coming from different angles and this left most Nigerians confused.

“To my greatest shock, I arrived London with the party chairman, Governor of Kaduna, Kogi, Nassarawa, minister of transport and we saw a man that was full of humour as usual and I was wondering where people were getting what they are talking about,” Mr. Okorocha said in an interview with Channels Television on Tuesday.

Mr. Okorocha said President Buhari is in good healthand is not on life support.“He is not even in the hospital,” he added.“I was thinking I was going to see him in the hospital, but he was just at home relaxing and I thinkthe doctors must have insisted that he get some rest.

“When I made inquiries on why he is not yet back home, all I get was that He is just taking some vitamins to increase his appetite.“He is in good spirit and I think the prayers of Nigerians have worked to a great extent and he is coming back in full force.

A statement by the presidency, which provided a photograph, gave the names of those who met with the president to include Mr. Okorocha, as well as Governors Umaru Al-Makura of Nasarawa, Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna, Yahaya Bello of Kogi, and the APC National Chairman, John Oyegun.Mr. Buhari has spent 79 days in London on medical vacation for a yet to be disclosed ailment.

The recent trip came about two months after the president returned to Nigeria from an earlier trip to London, where he also spent about 50 days.Apart from the recent trip by Mr. Okorocha and other APC leaders, the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, also recently visited Mr. Buhari in the British capital.

Mr. Osinbajo, after the visit, said the president was recuperating fast and would return soon.

The presidency also announced on Tuesday that six other governors would visit the president in London on Wednesday.

In his interview on Channels TV on Tuesday, Mr. Okorocha said Nigerians should be more concerned about the president’s next actions after his return.

“Nigerians should be talking about what would be his next line of action when he returns and what we are to expect when he arrives,” he said.

OPEN HEAVENS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

DATE: WEDNESDAY JULY 26TH 2017

THEME: ACCESSING DIVINE COUNSEL

Memorise:

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17

Read: John 17:15-17

17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

17:16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Message:

Access to divine guidance is one yardstick you can use to determine whether you are a sheep in the fold of Jesus Christ, the Great Shepherd. This is very central to our walk with God, as it determines the status of our relationship with Christ.

Amassing years in the faith is not as important as increasing the frequency of receiving divine guidance. This means that if you received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour some 5, 10, 20 or more years ago, but still cannot easily be led by the Spirit of God on various matters, you are hardly growing spiritually. Romans 8:14 says,
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

A close walk with the Holy Spirit is the bedrock for receiving divine guidance. In John 16:13, Jesus clearly stated one major reason why the Holy Spirit was sent to the world.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth, and so it falls within the purview of His duties to guide you along the path of truth. If you have a knotty issue that cannot be unravelled, simply go to the Holy Spirit, and He will guide you aright. He operates in the realm of truth and not necessarily facts. Some people equate facts with truth but that is not often the case.

Just as lies are a distortion of the facts, facts can sometimes be contrary to truth. Facts are observations that have been subjected to interpretations based on current knowledge, and because knowledge changes, facts can also change.

What then is truth? The Lord Jesus Christ answers this question in John 17:17:
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
The word of God is truth. Also, the Godhead is an embodiment of truth. In fact, Jesus in John 14:6 declared:
“…I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Truth is based on faith. If you will receive divine guidance, you must be prepared to walk in God’s path of truth.

The truth is ever constant. God wants His children to walk with the truth and not necessarily facts. When a child of God is ill for example, the fact is that there are physical signs and manifestations of the ailment on the individual, but the truth is that Jesus has already paid the price for the healing of every child of God. For this reason, the Bible says we walk by faith (truth) not by sight (facts) (2 Corinthians 5:7).

This means, you must be a person of faith. You must live by the truth and not contradict God’s word by your lifestyle. Also, you cannot be telling lies and expect the truth of God to be revealed to you. Choose to live by truth today.

Key Point:

A liar cannot receive a revelation of the Truth until he or she is ready to dump falsehood.

The Comforter has come!
The Holy Ghost from Heav’n,
The Father’s promise giv’n;
Oh, spread the tidings ’round,
Wherever man is found —
The Comforter has come!

The morning breaks at last,
And hushed the dreadful wail
And fury of the blast,
As o’er the golden hills
The day advances fast!
The Comforter has come!
[Refrain]

With healing in His wings,
To every captive soul
A full deliv’rance brings;
And through the vacant cells
The song of triumph rings;
The Comforter has come!

How shall this tongue of mine
To wond’ring mortals tell
The matchless grace divine—
That I, a child of hell,
Should in His image shine!
The Comforter has come!

Above the vaulted sky,
And all the saints above
To all below reply,
In strains of endless love,

Parents Of Pregnant Woman Strangled By Husband Return Dowry, Retrieve Body....

The parents of Mrs. Irene Dashit, a teacher allegedly strangled by her husband, Victor Dashit, in Dadin-Kowa, Jos on July 2, have returned the dowry paid on her head by her husband’s family.

“By our tradition, when a man kills our daughter while married to him, the bride price must be returned to the husband’s family and her corpse retrieved for proper burial at her birth place.

We have just returned the dowry.“It means that we have severed the union; it means she is no more married to the husband.

That is why we are taking her body to Maris, her birth place in Bokkos, Plateau State,” the District Head of Maris, Mr Amos Akila, said in Jos.

Akila expressed shock that the family of Dashit did not show any remorse over the incident, and never condoled the parents of the late woman. “The husband’s family only showed up when invited to receive the dowry we returned to them,” he said.Akila said that the woman’s family had resolved never to have anything to do with the alleged killer of their daughter.

We gave her to him alive; she would have been buried in her husband’s hometown if she died of natural causes, but in this case, she was killed by the husband, and our tradition demands we return the bride price and bury our daughter at her father’s house.

Our tradition forbids us from honouring the killer byburying our daughter in his house. We are saddened by the death of our daughter, but we haveleft everything to God. We want justice.

We want thekiller to pay for his crime,” he said.Irene’s body left the Air Force Hospital, Jos mortuary on Saturday, to Maris, where she was buried.

The Plateau Police Command had, on July 6, confirmed the arrest of 40-year-old Victor Dashit, a staff of the National Industrial Court, Jos who allegedly strangled his eight months pregnant wife, Irene.

“Victor is in our custody and investigation is ongoing. We shall soon take him to court,” its spokesman, Terna Tyopev, said.

Tyopev alleged that Dashit, who resides at New Abuja area of Jos, killed the wife, a 33-year-old teacher, at their farm in Kangang, on July 2.Dashit, after killing the woman, invited his brother tohelp him to convey her to hospital, after lying that she slumped and died, few minutes after she complained of dizziness.

A family source said that prior to the incident, the couple had faced lots of problems leading to persistent domestic violence.

He said that the situation got worse in May 2016, when the deceased caught her husband in bed with their house help, one Nora, in their home.“The woman woke up one night sometime in May 2016 and did not see her husband on the bed.

After combing the entire house, she peeped into the house maid’s room and found her husband on her,” the source said.He said that Irene sent the girl out of the house, but the girl came back two months later and told the husband that she was pregnant.

“Nora’s pregnancy aggravated the problems in theirmarriage; at a point, Irene fled to her parents’ housein Gindiri, but was persuaded to return to her husband’s house by their Pastor.

The Pastor persuaded her to return in November 2016, after intervening in the quarrel. She became pregnant immediately.”The source said that Irene had two daughters, whilethe unborn baby, a male, removed from her womb after she died, did not survive.

A source at the Air Force Military Hospital, Jos where Irene’s corpse was taken, said that Dashit, who brought the wife’s corpse, had claimed that she slumped and died after complaining of dizziness.

The doctors confirmed her dead on arrival, but rushed her to the theatre for an emergency CS in a bid to save her unborn baby, but brought out a deadchild.

“Further investigation by the medics, however, revealed marks on her neck, which suggested that she was strangled.

The doctors quickly reported the matter at the Anglo Jos police station where Dashit owned up to strangling his wife,” the source said.

Tyopev, while describing the incident as “unfortunate”, blamed the development on alleged infidelity, saying that Dashit had equally confessed to impregnating his housemaid.

“He confessed to holding the woman by the neck, but said he did not intend to kill her,” Tyopev said

Rio Ferdinand & Girlfriend Enjoy A Stroll With His Daughter While Still Mourning Mom......

Rio Ferdinand's relationship with girlfriend Kate Wright appears to be growing in strength as they enjoyed a stroll in London with his daughter Tia.

Kate, 26, has no doubt been a huge support to the former footballer, 38, and his family, following the shock death of his mother to cancer, just over a week ago, aged just 58.

Janice St Fort had helped Rio through the death of his wife Rebecca, also from cancer in 2015, and Kate and her boyfriend's sister Sian, 24, took part in Cancer Research UK's Race For Life on Sunday in memory of her.

Rio and Kate, who have been dating since the start of the year, took his daughter Tia, five, out for breakfast in South London together, before walking the dog.

Proving how close they have become, Kate and Rio each held Tia's hand as they walked along happily.

Kate, who works out every day, looked fantastic in black workout gear and trainers, with her blonde locks tied up in a ponytail.

Scientist who discovered HIV says efforts for cure underway..

A Nobel Laureate, Francoise Barre-Sinoussi, says efforts are ongoing to develop a universal cure for HIV and cancer through collaboration.

Barre-Sinoussi, a co-discoverer of the HIV, said this in Paris while conducting some select journalists on a tour of the sophisticated laboratories at Institut Pasteur.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Barre-Sinoussi and Luc Montagnier co-discovered the HIV in 1983.

She also stated that the HIV Cure and Cancer Forum would on Saturday be inaugurated at the Institut Curie in Paris.“Efforts are now underway to determine if these cancer therapies can be used to build up the immune system of patients with HIV.

This will be in such a way that HIV patients can achieve a durable and perhaps life-long treatment–free state of remission,’’ she said.

THEME: LIVING IN FEAR?

Memorise:

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18

Read: 1 John 4:17-18

4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Message:

If you have God as your Refuge, you have a priceless treasure because this gives you access to help in times of trouble. With God as your Refuge, irrespective of what is happening around you, you have no cause to panic. As unlikely as this may sound, it is possible to be under God’s cover and be unaffected by every satanic missile flying around both day and night (Psalm 91:5-6). Due to negative influences from their environment, some people have grown up with a particular phobia for the last quarter of the year. Between January and August, they go about their normal business activities with boldness, but as the month of September approaches, fear envelopes their hearts. As they read or hear of various accidents happening here and there, their fear is heightened. Some people allow this condition to degenerate to the extent that fear redefines all their remaining activities of the year. They may have to cancel all their air travel for fear of air crash. Even their road trips would be seriously reduced for fear of road accidents. They try as much as possible to confine themselves to their houses and will therefore give all kinds of excuses for not accepting any assignment or invitation during that period. Such people are being manipulated by fear!

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18

If you live in fear, you are in Satan’s bondage (Hebrew 2:15). Your love for God and fellow brethren cannot be perfected if you still create room for fear. When you live in fear, you give the devil so much attention, thereby empowering him over your life and destiny. Whatever or whoever you fear controls you. Luke 1:74 says we were saved to serve God without fear. So if you say you are born again but you still live in fear, you need to know who you are serving, because you should not live in fear of anything while serving God. You cannot have the fear of God in your heart and the fear of the devil at the same time. The moment you begin to fear the devil or is agents, you drift into bondage. If you are sure of your salvation but still live in fear, check yourself; it is likely you are ignorant of who you are in Christ. Also, as a child of God, when you engage in disobedience or harbour a secret sin in your heart, you lose your confidence and fear sets in. If this is your case, repent of your sin and fully turn to God!

Action Point:

If your heart is always filled with fear, invest time to study who you are in Christ from the book of Ephesians.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
2 Samuel 23-24
Ezekiel 14:12-23

Good Morning.
Let the victory shout begins with our Hallelujah.

HYMN 9: ON THE HILL FAR AWAY

1. On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the Dearest and Best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

Refrain:
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it someday for a crown.

2. Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.
Refrain:

3. In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.
Refrain:

4. To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me someday to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.
Refrain:

I have fibroids, not cancer – Actress, Halima Abubakar...

Contrary to news making the rounds that actress, Halima Abubakar has been diagnosed with cancer, her Ghanaian manager, Anah Abi, has said the actress is battling with complications from a fibroid removal surgery she had sometime ago.

In an exclusive chat with Sunday Scoop, she said, “Halima has shared a lot about what’s happening to her before in the past, so it is just natural for her to share this as well. She’s never scared to share anything that she’s going through. We thank God that she’s responding to treatment though she’s still weak but she has a lot of wonderful people around her.

She would be having her next surgery in two weeks so for now, she has to rest. The information going round that she has cancer is totally false.

She already said it herself that it is fibroid. She has also thanked the Kogi State First Lady who has been very kind to her. She had complications from the initial fibroids operation that she had.

We are grateful because a lot of people prayed for her and I believe that’s the essence of the post Tonto Dikeh made. Aside medicine, she needs prayers too.
