The company has its supermarkets in other Nigerian cities like Ilorin, Enugu, Ibadan, Onitsha, Abuja, Kano,Warri and many others.
They do not just own the Shoprite supermarkets but also other brands like OK Foods, OK Grocers, Enjoy and others.Since it was founded in 1979, it has become the largest food retailer inAfrica.
It is all over Africa (15 countries!) and has 2653 outlets with the headquarters in the Western Cape province.
It has an insane amount of employees – 143,000! The company is also listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange as the largest and oldest stock exchange in Africa.
